What: Brain Awareness is a teacher workshop broadcast from OHSU to various sites around the state each spring. Sponsored by the Office of Science Education at OHSU and AHEC-SW, Brain Awareness provides participants the chance to learn about the latest research breakthroughs on the brain and practical implications of this research, as well as an opportunity to ask questions of the scientist(s) involved in these discoveries.
Participating teachers will receive 3 Professional Development Units, free teaching tools on the brain and the opportunity to explore AHEC-SW's Brain-In-A-Box curriculum.
